all you need to know

All right I thought I would post some helpful information for all of you who share similar movie interests with me.

To tha theater:

The Incredibles- Nov. 5th
Pixar is 5 for 5 so far and their sixth looks just as funny and groundbreaking as the previous entries into the CGI animation world.

Finding Neverland- Nov. 12
Johnny Depp as James Barrie, the author of Peter Pan. buzz has been good so far and Depp seems to be on a roll (potential best actor nod).

National Treasure- Nov. 19
Okay, i'm not sure about this one, but it has potential and it's PG. Kind of looks like it has a Romancing the Stone quality. And besides how long has it been since there's been a clean action movie? could be a fun one.

Ocean's twelve- Dec. 10
The gang is back, this time in Rome, Paris, and Amsterdam as Andy Garcia's character wants his money back. Will the boys get away with it again or will it end more like Sinatra's Ocean eleven with the money going up in flames. we'll have to wait and find out.

Meet the Fockers-Dec. 22
This time we get to meet Greg's (Gaylord) parents, the white trash Barbara Streisand and Dustin Hoffman. Expect to squirm even more than the first.

The Life Aquatic- Dec. 25
Wes Anderson, Bill Murry, Owen Wilson. Does it get any better? Somehow Wes continues to paint fairytale worlds that somehow feel so close to reality. Expect another great soundtrack also.

The Aviator-coming soon
Leo plays inventor/business man Howard Hughes. With Martin Scorsese at the helm. Will Martin finally break his curse and the Best Director Oscar he deserves? we'll have to see.

To Dvd:

Before Sunset-Nov. 9
The sequel to one of my favorite movies. I'm truly excited about seeing this since it didn't come to theaters around here (we need an independent theater!!) Linklater takes us on another verbose tour of a European city with the reunited Jesse (Ethan Hawke) and Celine (Julie Delpy).

Elf-Nov. 16th
One of the better Christmas movies to come out in a long time (refreshing with the crappy movies coming out this season i.e. surviving christmas). Will Ferrell is sweet and hilarious.

Seinfeld Seasons 1&2, 3- Nov 23
The show about nothing finally makes it's entrance in to dvdland!

Spiderman 2-Nov. 30
Despite it's incredibly cheesy moments, I really enjoyed this second installment of the spider-man franchise.

Bourne Supremacy-Dec. 7
Never got to see this in the theaters :-(. I hear it's great though.

Dodgeball-Dec. 7
hilarious, mindless fun, with some of the best utilized cameos I've ever seen.

Lord of the Rings:Return of the King Extended Edition- Dec. 14
For those of you who thought it was too long in the theater, you ain't seen nuthin yet. This baby times in with 50 minutes of extra scenes at 4 hours and 10 minutes. For those fellow LOTRophiles it's a great way to say goodbye to the greatest trilogy of generation. Everyone get their hobbit feet out.

Napoleon dynamite- Dec. 21
Yes! we will be able to go back frame by frame and memorize all the quotes perfectly!! You're mom goes to college.

Garden State-Dec. 28
One of my favorites of the year. just be sure to skip the hotel scene with Method Man.

Okay that should keep you busy the next two months.

Other Oh yeahs!!:
Halo 2- so freakin soon!
U2: How to dismantle an Atomic Bomb-Nov. 23

Mmmm, hmmm. Nice little list there, friend. We need to just have a movie binge day sometime soon.

Gotta say that the most anticipated on the list for me would be "The Life Aquatic." So far, Wes Anderson & Co. are 3 for 3 in my book.

Finally saw "Eternal Sunshine..." - terrific movie. Exceptionally well written, directed, acted, etc. Very possibly the best movie this year.
